After graduating from Baylor Law School in 1977 and being admitted to the Texas Bar, Travis Kitchens moved to Trinity County to work as the Assistant District Attorney for the 258th Judicial District of Texas, serving Trinity, Polk and San Jacinto County.
In 1981 he left the District Attorney's office to go into private partnership of Evans and Kitchens with Groveton lawyer Joe Scott Evans, serving the citizens of the East Texas area out of their Groveton, Texas office. In addition to a general litigation practice, including criminal, civil, personal injury, business and probate law, he has represented dozens of property owners associations in the Lake Livingston area.
On January 1, 2011 Travis Kitchens went into solo practice. His office is now open in Onalaska to be more centrally located to serve his clients in Polk, Trinity and San Jacinto Counties, as well as those clients in the surrounding counties.
